Biography for Donna Rogers , MEd., SPHR 

Donna Rogers , SPHR has been a practitioner in the field of Human Resources (HR) since 1991. She has worked at the management and consulting level of HR since 1997 owning her own consulting business since 2001.  Her HR experience as an manager has been primarily in Financial Services and Manufacturing.  However, her consulting business has allowed her to expand her HR experience to include non-for-profit, medical, higher education, telecommunications, associations, and retail.

Donna is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is an active national member, Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).  On a volunteer basis Donna currently serves as the Director Elect for the Illinois State Council of SHRM.

As a professional trainer, Donna has been a guest speaker for the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Lorman Education Services, Central Illinois Chapter of SHRM, Lincoln Land Community College, Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and Illinois Newspaper in Education Association.

Donna is a management faculty member of the University of Illinois-Springfield where she teaches Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development and Career Development. She has also taught at  Robert Morris College-Springfield and guest lectured at Benedictine University.

Professional Awards and honors include:  HR Professional of the Year from CIC-SHRM; Small Business of the Year Award for Home Based Business;  40-Under-40 Selectee for Springfield Business Journal; and Supervisor of the Year from Springfield Public Schools.

Graduating with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Donna holds a Master of Education in Human Resources Development. She graduated on the deans list from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and holds two Associate Degrees in Business Administration from Lincoln Land Community College and Information Management from the Community College of the Air Force.  In addition, she was honorably discharged as a technical sergeant after serving eight years (6 years active and 2 years inactive) in the IL Air National Guard as a Ground Safety Inspector and Office Manager.

SPHR certification good through December 31, 2012.
